CFJ has been so fortunate to benefit from the kindness of so many supporters recently. Their generosity has been critical as we navigate the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased burdens it has placed on our clients impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

We would like to thank the following individuals and organizations for their ongoing support of our mission:

  • Jennifer Leeper of Fairifeld, who created a campaign of lawn signs thanking essential workers during the pandemic. Jennifer sold those signs as a fundraiser on behalf of CFJ and our friends at Fairfield-based Operation Hope. Through this timely effort, Jennifer raised more than $4,000 for CFJ.
  • The members of “The Crew,” a group of philanthropic supporters from Bridgeport, Trumbull and beyond who frequently collaborate to fundraise for nonprofits in need. For the past three years, members of “The Crew” have held an annual fundraiser at Micalizzi Italian Ice on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport to benefit our Camp HOPE America-Bridgeport This year, “The Crew” raised more than $11,000 and an SUV full of supplies to benefit our summer camp and year-long mentoring program for youth ages 7-17.
  • The staff of Kolmar America’s Bridgeport offices and the talented culinary team at Trattoria A’Vucchella in Bridgeport who collaborated to have two delicious dinners delivered to the staff and clients at our Kathie’s Place safe house.
