The Center for Family Justice has an amazing challenge: If we raise $30,000, an anonymous donor will match that amount. Fairfield County’s Giving Day is the perfect way to help us raise the needed $30K – which automatically becomes $60K! Wow!
From midnight March 5th through 11:59 p.m., you can donate to your favorite non-profit online – and we are hoping that is The Center for Family Justice!
You can donate two ways on March 5th:

- Donate to The Center for Family Justice on Fairfield County’s Community Foundation page.
Timing is everything!
In addition to your donations, the nonprofit organization that receives the most unique gifts during the following time slots wins $1,000 from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation. Please consider making your donation during the hours of:
- 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.
- Noon to 1 p.m.
- 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
And one more prize, perfect for night owls: The first 10 nonprofits to receive 25 unique gifts of $25 receives $1,000.
How YOU can help!
We need your help to spread the word about this once a year event. Donations start at $10, so we are asking staff, Board members, donors, volunteers and friends of The Center to please donate and if possible, to donate during one of the times that will help us win a $1,000 prize.
We are also asking that you contact friends, family and co-workers, asking them to please consider donating to The Center for Family Justice on Giving Day. Remember, donations begin at $10!

Why this day is so important
We are halfway to our $2 million goal to open Connecticut’s first Family Justice Center — the 95th FCJ in the world – this fall. $60,000 would make a huge dent in that $2 million goal.
Why do we need a FJC?
- It brings all services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse – police, prosecutors, civil/legal services, medical, child care, holistic health– under one roof.
- It streamlines the way victims receive services and reduces costs.
- Documented outcomes from FJCs throughout the world include reduced homicides; increased community support services; increased victim safety; reduced recantation and minimization by victims; reduced fear and anxiety for survivors and their children and empowerment and self-sufficiency for survivors.
Please help us reach our goal on March 5. Together we can help end domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse in our communities.
