LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT AND INVITATION TO BID
The Center for Family Justice is seeking sealed bids for the Tenant Improvements at 753 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, CT.
Sealed bids will be received, in duplicate, at the office of the architect, Antinozzi Associates PC, located at 271 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT until Monday, August 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. local time. Envelopes shall be marked BID on the front lower left corner. Bid submissions in fax or electronic format will NOT be accepted.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the project site on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interested bidders are to meet in the main lobby at 753 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Attendance is strongly recommended.
Bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to construct, equip and finish the above project, in accordance with the documents prepared by Antinozzi Associates.
Contract Documents (Drawings and Specifications) may be purchased at cost from Digiprint, 25 Ferry Blvd., Stratford, CT 06615. Interested parties who wish to purchase Contract Documents are requested to contact the printing company, Digiprint in advance at (203) 375-1228. No documents will be mailed or delivered in any form. The Contract Documents will be on file for review only at the office of the Architect, Antinozzi Associates PC, 271 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604. Questions may be submitted, by electronic mail, to the attention of Alicia Connery, Antinozzi Associates, PC, (aconnery@antinozzi.com), at least four (4) days prior to the bid date.
A 5% Bid Security must be submitted with all bids. The successful Bidder, if selected, will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. Surety companies providing performance and payment bond (s) must be licensed to do business in Connecticut and be approved as sureties on Government contract pursuant to U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, published annually in the Federal Register.
The Contractor shall procure at their own expense Workmen’s Compensation, Comprehensive General Liability, Automobile Liability and other insurance with coverage and limits as defined in the Specifications. Certificates of Insurance with the above coverage must be submitted before starting work on the project. Thirty (30) day notice is required before cancellation.
The Center for Family Justice reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the openings of bids without the consent of The Center for Family Justice.
