Spread some holiday cheer to our clients this season by dropping by with a donation from the Center’s Holiday Wish List!
Gift cards from Wal-Mart, Target, Stop & Shop and Walgreens are greatly appreciated by clients, but we also welcome your donations of new clothing, bedding, household products and non-perishable food.
For shelter clients, there’s an ongoing need for single-bed sheets and blankets, towels, pillows, shower curtains, writing journals, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, activity and coloring books, backpacks and school supplies.
We’d also be grateful for household goods including brooms, mops, cleaning supplies, batteries, 100-watt bulbs, laundry detergent and softener.
If you’d like to donate for a toddler, consider a purchase of a snowsuit, socks, hats, mittens, scarves, ear muffs, underwear (especially large sizes), sweatshirts, and sweatpants that have no writing on the back of the pants. Useful baby items include diapers and Pull Ups of all sizes (especially size 5 and 6), formula, baby food, diaper rash ointment, baby powder, wipes, Q-tips, blankets and crib sheets.
If you’re headed for the store to stock up on your own travel- or regular-size personal care items, consider picking up some extras for our clients. There’s a long list of what they can use, from soap, stain sticks, and deodorant to mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and blush. (No foundation). Other welcome donations are toothbrushes, combs, hairbrushes, hand cream, body cream, face cream, hair dryers, tampons and sanitary napkins.
On the Wish List of non-perishable food items: Non-dairy creamer, coffee, tea, cocoa, cereal, soup, rice, beans, pasta, pasta sauce, Hamburger Helper, juice, cereal, coffee and Thanksgiving side dishes.
Thank you for bringing happiness to their holidays!
