Often our clients in crisis come through our doors with little more than the clothes they are wearing. To help them get back on their feet during their stay at our Kathie’s Place Safe House, we try to provide them with gift cards to acquire the basics they need for themselves and sometimes, their children.
Gift cards to stores such as Walmart, Walgreens and CVS make it possible for our clients to purchase basic apparel and personal care items at stores that are affordable and easily accessible. Using gift cards also allows our client-in-crisis to make their own choices and feel a sense of dignity as they care for themselves and their families.
CFJ is currently out of gift cards to provide clients and would appreciate donations. The preferred increments for our clients are in modest amounts up to $25, but we are grateful for any amount.
Gift Card drives are also a wonderful way for service organizations to support CFJ and its mission.
