The Center for Family Justice offers confidential and comprehensive crisis emergency services for anyone impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and child abuse.
Domestic violence occurs when one person maintains power and control over a partner in an intimate or family relationship using one or more of these behaviors: verbal, emotional, physical, sexual, financial. Call 203-384-9559 for emergency services.
Sexual violence is any non-consensual sexual act forced on one person by one or more persons. Forms of sexual violence can include rape, sexual harassment, human trafficking or any other form of unwanted sexual contact. Call 203-333-2233 for emergency services.
Child abuse: More than 5 children die daily in the United States, victims of child abuse or neglect. More than 15 million children witness domestic violence at home and more than 6.2 million cases of child abuse or neglect are reported annually. In addition, 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. Call 203-384-9559 (domestic violence hotline) or 203-333-2233 (sexual violence hotline) for emergency services.
Advocacy at The Center is two-fold: providing short-term counseling to victims of domestic violence and sexual violence; and criminal and court advocacy, providing such services as legal assistance, restraining orders and counseling. Call 203-334-6154 for information.
