Training Institute: Upcoming Workshops on Domestic & Sexual Violence and Child Abuse Topics
CFJ’s new Training Institute launched in November under the leadership of Director of Education & Community Engagement Amanda Posila. Throughout the month, the Training Institute will host a series of workshops on current topics in domestic and sexual violence and child abuse as part of our ongoing efforts to drive social change by raising awareness about these complicated issues.
Registration is currently open for one upcoming November workshop to be held in CFJ’s Verizon Empowerment Room.
CFJ urges law enforcement professionals, therapists, social workers, educators, volunteers and community members with interest in these subjects to register.
The cost of enrollment for each session is $30.

Amanda Posila, who has more than fifteen years of experience working with victims of domestic and sexual violence, will lead this workshop exploring the innovative strategies being used today to prevent domestic and sexual violence. The session will focus on the individual, relationship, community and societal factors that contribute to abuse and violence. Participants will also explore strategies for promoting social change.
